SCC Update

November 20 - Albert School Clothing Drive

We will be collecting used clothing to be donated to Albert School.  A letter will be placed in your mailbox today to be sent home with students (youngest).  All donations should be placed in the front foyer of the school and will be picked up on November 21st.

November 29 - Parent Conference 

I can appreciate how busy this day is for all of you and we are all looking forward to coming and talking with you about the progress of our children.  The wonderful Carla Crozier (thank you Carla) will be setting up her clothing table in the front of the school.  This will be an opportunity for parents to order school clothing for their children.  There will not be someone sitting at the table but please direct parents and children to try on sample sizes, fill out the order forms and the orders will be collected and processed at the end of the day.  

Christmas Tree

The Christmas Tree will be going up the first week of December.  We are wondering if anyone might be "updating" their own tree this year and would be interested in donating their old one to the SCC.  Our tree is not looking as fresh as it use to be.....and I believe if we try to assemble it again, the SCC will have to take shifts standing beside it to hold it up!

We will also be collecting Christmas ornaments from all students to be placed on the tree.  If you could share this with your class and mention that we are only looking for ornaments from families that are not currently represented on the tree - one per family.

December 12 - Christmas Appreciation Lunch/Special Lunch

It's that time of year again!  Thank you, thank you, for all you do.  We will be hosting the teacher appreciation lunch on Thursday, December 12th.....with leftovers being served on Friday.  In conjunction with your lunch, we will be doing a special lunch for all the students.  Letters will be going home on November 14th and the collection day will be November 26th.  Your assistance in helping us collect forms and money is always appreciated.  We will do our best to say thank you by hitting the kitchen and trying some new recipes out for your special lunch....unless anyone has requests....we aim to please!

Magazine Update

Cindy Rogers and team did it again!  We are very happy to report that the QSP campaign was a success.  Thank you to all of you for allowing monkey's into your classroom and supporting us with all the distribution and collection of money.  We will be running another small fundraiser in the new year....more information to follow.
